Veronese Itinerary – Verona-Villafranca

Passing through some of the most beautiful areas of the city, from S. Zeno we arrive to the Arena, another symbol of Verona. From here, we take Corso di Porta Nuova, directing ourselves to the train station. We pass the Sanctuary of Madonna della Salute in Dossobuono, an important hamlet of Villafranca, where we arrive by walking among the cultivated fields furrowed by the bicycle path we have adopted. Villafranca di Verona is a center known for the armistice that was signed there at theconclusion of the Second War of Independence between the French allies of the Piedmontese and the Austrians, who until then had ruled the Lombardy-Veneto.
