With this stage you leave the plain and begin to climb towards the Apennines, touching some historically very important villages, and also pleasant to visit: Montegibbio, Montebaranzone, Varana. We are now in Serramazzoni, which we reach by passing through the Tower of Bastille, a towering garrison of two valleys that lead to the first hills of the Modena area.
